As of the next winter season, the Vicenza firm will be a member of the consortium comprising the leading companies in the sector of winter sports, that supply the national teams in the various sports events in Italy.The result of a tradition continuing for over 50 years and, thanks to the excellent quality and performance of its products “made in Italy”, constantly improved from year to year with the valuable contribution and feedback of professional athletes worldwide, crowned by the prestigious seal of Pool Sci Italia which, as of next winter, will be a vehicle for the Gabel brand on the athletes of the Italian national team in the various winter sports.
But what exactly is Pool Sci Italia? The Consortium has existed officially as such since 16 October 1974, but its creation coincides with that of the World Cup, thanks above all to the idea put forward by Jean Vuarnet. The Pool comprises a group of industries whose charter includes the promotion of skiing, but also the exploitation of products linked to the winter sport. In this way the Pool enables the national teams to be strengthened thanks to quality equipment. Pool members include the technical suppliers who are represented by the firms that make skis, binders, ski-boots, poles, helmets, goggles, gloves and ski wax.
